New President Receives PM Viktor Orbán in His Office

According to a press communiqué by Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Viktor Orbán was received by Tamás Sulyok, Head of State, at a meeting in the Sándor Palace.

The statement revealed that the Prime Minister and the Head of State will hold regular consultations on the most important European, domestic, and geopolitical issues affecting the country. Viktor Orbán was accompanied by the minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office, Antal Rogán.

Tamás Sulyok, former President of the Constitutional Court, was inaugurated as Head of State by parliament on February 26, 2024, following the resignation of his predecessor, Katalin Novák. His first act in the highest state office was signing the Ratification of Sweden’s NATO membership.
