In order to jointly serve and support Hungarian art, education, culture, and intellectual life, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed on Wednesday between the Hungarian Corvin Chain Public Body (MCLT) and the Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA).
The agreement has the primary goal to support the missions of both organizations through joint professional activities. It was signed by Szilveszter E. Vizi, president of the MCLT, and Attila Turi, president of the MMA.
As part of the cooperation, the two organizations will mutually support each other in
They will organize joint professional events and recommend recognized expert speakers to each other—primarily from within their own memberships—for organizing and conducting these events.
Additionally, upon request, the agreement extends to the sharing of data, statistics, and other information, professional opinions, the exchange of experiences and best practices, as well as the publication of joint materials and mutual support in communications.
Szilveszter E. Vizi, president of the Hungarian Corvin Chain Public Body and a member (and former president) of the Social Advisory Board of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, emphasized during the signing ceremony that
the essence of the agreement is to teach people together about the beauty and goodness that only artists are capable of perceiving.
He reminded the audience that humans are the only living beings capable not only of understanding the created world but also of passing on the knowledge and experience they acquire.
“The cooperation between the two bodies is extremely important because we can represent something that no one else can. That elite, that uniqueness which has made the Hungarian nation exceptional over the past hundred years,” stressed Szilveszter E. Vizi.
Attila Turi, president of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, stated that as artists living in the clouds, they need control, feedback, and constructive criticism in order to progress. He added that he sincerely hopes the cooperation with the Hungarian Corvin Chain Public Body will flourish into the creation of publications, films, and audio materials that can be presented to the nation to elevate culture and bring joy to the soul.
