There has not been much to remember from the Hungarian national team in their clubs recently, but last weekend saw some particularly good performances from the regular foreign players in Marco Rossi’s team. Dominik Szoboszlai and Bendegúz Bolla both scored, Milos Kerkez was superb and Attila Szalai made the most of his new opportunity, writes Magyar Nemzet.

Marco Rossi finally got some good news from abroad. Most of the success came from the Bundesliga, which is no coincidence, as that is where the largest number of Hungarian players play. Although András Schäfer returned to Union Berlin earlier after a long injury and is getting more playing time, this time he came on in the 61st minute in the match against Mönchengladbach. His side won 3-1.

Freiburg, where Roland Sallai came on as a substitute in the 58th minute and received a yellow card, won 1-0 in Wolfsburg, and the Hungarian striker seems to be slowly settling back into his team.

Willi Orbán is still not ready to return, but is said to be back in the field in January.

There are still some news from the Bundesliga: Hoffenheim won again after four games without a win, with Attila Szalai getting some play time after a month and a half on the bench, and now he was on the pitch till the end. He made only four league appearances this season and played only two Bundesliga matches. He reportedly put in a fine performance in the 3-1 win over Bochum.

There was a lot of action in the Premier League last week, and the two-man Hungarian legion put in a memorable performance.

Liverpool hosted Sheffield on Wednesday and Dominik Szoboszlai played the whole game, and scored a superb goal to seal the 2-0 win.

On Saturday, his side played at Crystal Palace Stadium and won 2-1 after coming from behind, but the Hungarian captain was substituted in the 74th minute.

It has been a big week for Bournemouth and Kerkez Milos in it too. The team, who started the season poorly, first took three points from Crystal Palace with a 2-0 win and then won 3-0 against Manchester United at the end of the week.

Kerkez Milos was on the pitch for both matches, making some great saves – a superb rebuttal to the assumption that he was Bournemouth’s weakest player.

The other goal scorer of the Hungarian legion is in Switzerland: as a member of Servette FC, Bendegúz Bolla took the lead in the 3rd minute. The final score was 1-1, and the Hungarian defender was substituted in the 84th minute.

In the Italian second division, Ádám Nagy was on the bench as Pisa lost 2-0 at Catanzaro, Botond Balogh did the same in the cup match against Fiorentina. However, in Sunday’s league match against Palermo he was on the pitch throughout the whole game, and his team came from 0-2 down to a 3-3 draw.
