To commemorate the International Day of Human Space Flight, the Bükk National Park Directorate is organizing a series of lectures at its astronomy visitor center, the Bükk Astronomical Observatory, in April and May, reports Turizmus.com.
The “Scientific Guidebook for Earthlings” will be a series of programs in which experts will present interesting and widely discussed astronomical topics in an exciting and accessible way.
The observatory’s event aims to bring visitors closer to the unreachable stars of the sky, the wonders and cosmic curiosities of the universe, and to immerse them in the beauty of astronomical phenomena through visual and astrophotographic observation, while learning about astronomical telescopes.
Through the presentations, visitors will also have the opportunity to gain insight into the opportunities for space education and career development in the space industry in Hungary.
The program will culminate with a lecture by NASA scientist Dr. Murthy Gudipati, entitled “The Birth of Life,”
followed by an informal discussion with the renowned expert. The lectures are recommended for those aged 12 and over.
Tickets are available online only, and those who buy tickets for these events will receive a VR game voucher on arrival.
