Hungarian Defense Forces will acquire equipment that can be used in natural disaster prevention and damage control.
The Hungarian Defense Forces’ Material Supply Warehouse Base will purchase more than 30 assets under the Széchenyi 2020 program. These can be used anywhere in the country, especially in flood protection.
The first few have already been delivered, so several road tractors, earthmovers, road profiling machines, and crawler excavators can be used in the event of a disaster.
The remaining equipment has been put out to tender and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2023, according to the statement.
