Balázs Bokor, President of the Hungarian Hollywood Council, highlighted Hungary’s deep-rooted connections with Hollywood, noting the significant contributions of Hungarian filmmakers to the global film industry. He mentioned prominent figures like Adolph Zukor (producer), William Fox (the founder of Fox Studios), Al Lichtman (Universal Studios), and Tony Curtis (actor), whose ancestors are all tied to Hungary and have left an indelible mark on Hollywood.

Mr. Bokor also celebrated the growing number of Hungarian Oscar winners, including Zsuzsa Mihalek, who recently won an Academy Award.
