Recently, a disgusting video from the kitchen of a Hungarian fast food restaurant surfaced on social media platforms. The footage shows one of the employees wiping a slice of cheese to the sole on his shoe and putting it onto a sandwich with two hamburger patties he first flips on the floor. The food chain has since fired the two employees seen in the video.
A video taken in the kitchen of a McDonald’s fast food restaurant in Hungary has sparked huge outrage. The footage shows one of the employees wiping a slice of cheese on the sole of his shoe and putting it onto a sandwich with two hamburger patties he first flips on the floor, while his colleague who is recording is loudly laughing. At the bottom half of the shocking video a mocking caption can also be seen:
“This is how you should ask for sh*t at night without onions and pickles, hoping it will be fresh.”
Hungarian tabloid Blikk contacted the PR agency representing McDonald’s in Hungary, which replied that they had immediately launched an internal investigation, adding that if the footage proves to be authentic, they will take necessary legal action against the employees.
Shortly afterward, the agency issued a statement announcing that following the conclusion of the internal investigation, the workers who made the video are no longer employed by the restaurant chain.
Along with this, the agency included the written apology of the two high school students seen in the footage, who claim the video was not meant to be serious and was not intended to go public. “We were just joking among ourselves at night when there were no customers,” one of them wrote.
“We fulfilled the orders according to standards during this shift as well (…) We didn’t give that sandwich to any customer,” wrote the other student in the video.
