Hungarian tennis player Márton Fucsovics reached the third round of the Australian Open on Wednesday.
In the round of 64, the opponent of the 30-year-old Hungarian, who ranks 78th in the world, was South Africa’s Lloyd Harris (186).
Fucsovics reached the third round for the fourth time in Melbourne, where he now has 11 main draw wins- his most in a Grand Slam.
“I am playing a tough opponent, Harris is serving well, very solid on the backhand, played a Grand Slam quarter-final and was near the top 30,” he said on Tennis 4U’s Facebook page. It’s very difficult to play three sets without an error, especially when you’re on the verge of winning, once in a while even my hands shake.”
Fucsovics will face Jannik Sinner (16) of Italy in the last 32. His win record is 2/1 against the 21-year-old Italian.
