About ten plots of 3,000-4,000 square meters – with or without public utilities – are being offered to builders, reports MTI.
There is no age restriction when applying, and the plots cannot be left empty for ten years from the date of purchase. The aim is to increase the number of residents; they want young people to stay or settle in Tolnanémedi, Mayor Vígh László (Fidesz-KDNP) said.
He noted that the municipality had 1,100 inhabitants in 2017, and only 991 in 2022. The population is aging and young people who go on to further education tend not to move back home. He said that in the area, it is possible to buy a plot of land with public utilities for 2-5 million forints.
