LMP Set to Have Own Parliamentary Group Thanks to Pact with DK

Opposition LMP is likely to have its own group in the next parliament after agreeing with the Democratic Coalition (DK) that DK will lend one of its MPs to the green party if necessary, LMP’s Péter Ungár said on Monday.

House regulations stipulate that a minimum of five MPs are needed to form a parliamentary group. LMP won altogether four parliamentary seats from the joint opposition party list and an individual constituency it won in Budapest.

Ungár told commercial news channel ATV he was confident that DK would honor its agreement with his party.
