After the big success of last year’s Bal de rue (street ball), attended by over 3,000 customers,

this year it is coming back with an even bigger format- a three day French food and wine market.

Fact

Bastille Day is a national holiday in France. It is held on July 14, the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, one of the most important events of the French Revolution. In France, it is celebrated with a mixture of solemn military parades, easygoing dancing, and fireworks.

Customers will have a chance to taste all kinds of French food ranging from cheese to croissants, all the way to the beloved delicacy of snails, and much more. On the wine side, all regions of France will be represented: Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Pays d’OC and of course, Champagne as well. To entertain visitors, Le Troquet will host concerts, live performances, and street art events.

On Thursday and Friday, the market will welcome customers between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

On the 14 of July from 3 to 4 p.m., the official inauguration will take place, followed by a broadcast of the Tour the France. From 6 p.m. till midnight, concerts will be in charge of the atmosphere.

The day will be closed by a French-trend disco party.

On the closing day of the event, the market will be open for a shortened time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with plenty of games for children.

The event will take place in front of the Le Troquet bistro, on Pala street, which will be completely closed off for the occasion.
