The State Secretary for Families at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation announced an increase in the reimbursement for the first successful language exam.
The language test subsidy aims to enhance the competitiveness and mobility of young people, fostering equal opportunities for a fresh start, irrespective of their financial background.
Eligible individuals under 35 who pass their initial language exams can claim up to HUF 66,700 (EUR 177) of the examination fee. The support is accessible within a year of the language examination date. Even those with existing language exams seeking higher levels or new language proficiency can benefit from the grant.
Since January 1, 2018, over 171,000 applicants have availed support, totaling more than HUF 5.8 billion (EUR 15.4M).
