Thanks to more than 60,000 registered NGOs and associations, civil society is flourishing in Hungary, Justice Minister Judit Varga wrote on Facebook.

“While we are committed to helping civilians, we maintain our concern and call for transparency against the activities of certain foreign-funded, politically motivated, and ideologically biased NGOs,” the minister stressed.

Although they put on a philanthropic mask, they still do politics; they call themselves NGOs, yet they behave like political parties, with a lot of money. They have a political agenda and act politically motivated,”

she warned. “In Brussels they are trying to outsource democracy to these NGOs, they are trying to impose on us the views of these organizations, which are approaching imperialism. Our task now is to point out this worrying process everywhere until the European Parliament elections,” Judit Varga explained.
