From the beginning of June, Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair will connect Budapest to the northern Italian port city with two flights a week, reports Turizmus.com.
The airline will launch flights between Budapest and Trieste every Friday and Sunday from June 2.
Flights FR 4251/4250 will operate in the morning on Fridays and in the evening on Sundays.
The flights can be booked until the end of the summer timetable on October 25, AIRportal pointed out.
Ryanair unveiled its 2024 summer schedule at the end of November, announcing more than three million seats on its Budapest flights. In addition, the Irish low-cost carrier has since revealed a number of new routes from the Hungarian capital, including to Skiathos, Greece; Milan-Malpensa, Italy; Faro, Portugal; Frankfurt-Hahn, Germany; and Tirana, Albania.
However, the city was not always part of Italy. For decades, it flourished under the Habsburg Monarchy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire from the late 14th to the early 20th century. Until the end of World War I, it was the main seaport of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. As one of the most important cities of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, alongside Vienna, Budapest, and Prague, the city’s main squares are adorned with spectacular neoclassical buildings.
