The Nyíregyháza Town Stadium (Városi Stadion) in northeastern Hungary is being built with the help of the Hungarian government under the National Stadium Development Program, with budget support of more than HUF 19 billion (EUR 48 million). Currently, the most important works are taking place on the playing field, but the first lighting test was held recently.
New footage has been published by Épkar Zrt., the company responsible for the construction of the Nyíregyháza Town Stadium, reports Világgazdaság.
As reported by Világgazdaság earlier, the project is being carried out by a consortium of Épkar Zrt. and Nyír-Wetland Generál Zrt., also including an 8,150-seat facility and a 10,000-square-meter central pitch.
The multifunctional stadium will not only host football matches, but also concerts and other events. The arena will meet the modern UEFA-2 category requirements.
The Nyíregyháza project will also include a floodlit running track and a two-story, 900 square meter sports center with a gym, service facilities, and changing rooms.
