On June 1, LufiLand (“Balloon Land”) will open in the BOK Sports Hall in Budapest, inviting visitors to travel around the world using 500,000 environmentally friendly balloons. The 4,000 square meter exhibition hall will feature balloon replicas of the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Great Sphinx of Giza, among other landmarks.
On June 1, the LufiLand exhibition opens in Budapest, the first of its kind in the world, writes Turizmus.com. It is part of the Balloon World Adventure event that has arrived in the heart of Europe after several major projects around the world.
World-famous balloon master Guido Verhoef’s grand dream will come to life: the Dutch artist will build the exhibition in the weeks leading up to the opening, with the help of several professional balloon designers and 150 volunteers.

The creators will use 500,000 colorful, environmentally friendly, special balloons to bring the world’s iconic buildings and landmarks to Budapest.
“The exhibition will be both an art sensation and a real public production. The world has never seen a balloon exhibition of this size and quality. As well as entertaining adult visitors, we are also thinking about the needs of families, as the 4,000 square meter exhibition includes a 1,000 square meter fun zone where children can experiment with balloons and unleash their creative energy,” stressed Verhoef, the exhibition’s artistic director and renowned balloon sculptor.
The production will be on display in the BOK Sports Hall, home to special exhibitions, for a limited time until mid-August.
