Iconic Figure of Latin Pop Ricky Martin to Perform on Heroes’ Square

MTI-Hungary Today 2024.08.29.

Ricky Martin will be the star guest of this year’s Napi Mázli Super Concert, which will be held on September 21 in the capital, at Heroes’ Square, announced Andrea Mager, CEO of Szerencsejáték Zrt.

Alongside the iconic figure of Latin pop culture, performers will include DJ Viktória Metzker, Lili Regán and T. Danny.

Andrea Mager said that the super concerts have been giving tens of thousands of people a free concert experience without registration for years, and this year the audience will be able to experience it again at the old venue, at Heroes’ Square.

She emphasized:

the visitors of the concert can also support a good cause if they buy lottery tickets at the venue, as this year the entire amount will be donated to the Hungarian Interchurch Aid, to support disadvantaged families.

Kristóf Gáncs, Executive Director of the organization, recalled that the HUF 8.5 million (EUR 21,635) raised at last year’s concert were used to support the operation of the Sure Start Children’s Home, where disadvantaged children are helped from infancy. He highlighted that this year the Hungarian Interchurch Aid and Szerencsejáték Zrt. also signed a four-year strategic partnership agreement, under which the national lottery company undertook to introduce a dedicated lottery ticket next year, supporting the work of the relief organization.

Last year, the concert was attended by around 50,000 people in Budapest’s Statue Park (Memento Park) and followed online by around 15,000. With this year’s concert, Szerencsejáték Zrt. is celebrating the launch of its new lottery game, the Napi Mázli (“Daily Luck”).

The concert will be opened by DJ Viktória Metzker, followed by rapper, singer and songwriter T. Danny, followed by Lili Regán. After the Hungarian performers, Ricky Martin will arrive with a special show and well-known hits such as Livin’ la Vida Loca and She Bangs.

As in previous years, people with disabilities will be able to enjoy the performances from a grandstand near the stage, and will also have access to the venue via an exclusive entrance point.
