Hungary’s Best Hotels Revealed

The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ) handed over the The Hotel of the Year awards. The winner of the five-star category was the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.

The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association organized the competition in partnership with Visit Hungary. They not only ranked the hotels, but also award the best of each category. The MSZÉSZ first launched the contest in 2013 with the aim of presenting the sector’s outstanding hotels as role models for the industry and to raise guests’ awareness of institutions that are offering high quality services.

Among other factors the jury took into account the quality of the hotels’ offerings, innovative operational improvements, market performance compared to competitors and the exemplary staffing policies presented in the competition.

The winner of the Hotel of the Year 2024 title in the 5 star – 5 star superior category is the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, located in the middle of the city near Deák Ferenc Square

In the 4 star – 4 star superior “full service” category outside the capital the Hotel Európa Fit won. The hotel is located in Hévíz, a town famous for its thermal water lake.

In the 4 star – 4 star superior “full service” category in Budapest the Crowne Plaza Budapest scored first place. It is located near the Nyugati railway station.

The Palatinus Boutique Hotel in Pécs won in the 4 star – 4 star superior “limited service” category outside the capital. The culturally significant city is located in the South-West part of Hungary.

The Hotel Moments Budapest won in the 4 star – 4 star superior “limited service” category in Budapest, located on the Andrássy Avenue near the famous Heroes’ Square.

Lastly, the ibis Styles Budapest Citywest earned award in the 3 star – 3 star superior “limited service” category in Budapest, located near the Kelenföld railway station.
