Over HUF 18 million Worth of Cigarettes Seized from Ukrainian Smuggler

More than 18 million forints (EUR 50,000) worth of cigarettes without Hungarian tax and excise stickers have been seized from a Ukrainian man near Tiszaadony in northeast Hungary, the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County police said on Sunday.

The man, aged 46, was traveling by car when he was stopped by police for a road check.

The man and the smuggled cigarettes have been handed over to the national tax and excise office.
