By the end of the year, Hungary has signed all agreements with the European Commission that allow access to EU funds, the Minister of Regional Development said in a video message posted on his Facebook page on Thursday.

He said that earlier this week, he had signed the agreement on the national recovery plan on behalf of the Hungarian government, while on Thursday the European Commission approved the Hungarian operational programs and the text of the Partnership Agreement itself.

We have reached our goal,”

Navracsics stressed.

This will allow the arrival of some 130 billion forints (325 million euros) in advance, the launch of tenders, and the start of the development projects that can be supported by EU funds, the regional development minister said.

The European Commission announced on Thursday that it adopted the Partnership Agreement with Hungary, “laying down the country’s cohesion policy investment strategy worth a total of almost 22 billion euros for the period 2021-2027.”

“It will help the country implement joint EU priorities such as balanced territorial development and a fair climate and digital transition, while supporting an innovative and inclusive social market economy. The Commission has also adopted 11 national programs identifying the planned investment priorities and financial allocations per program,” the statement adds.
