Ukrainian War: Hungary Assists over 8,800 Foreigners Fleeing Ukraine

Hungary has assisted 8,813 foreigners from twelve countries who have fled Ukraine because of the war, so far, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in a post on Facebook on Sunday.

In the last few days alone, Hungary has helped 300 Nigerian, 208 Chinese, and 190 Ecuadorian citizens return home, Szijjártó said.

Even as the war passes the three-week mark, “several hundred” foreign students and workers have asked Hungary for help on their way back home, he added.
