Lénárd Darázs, Vice-Rector of Eötvös Loránd University, said that

a lot of emphasis is being put on the exploitation of research, and the institution has already accumulated significant research potential.

These provide a good basis for the university’s successful participation in the Neumann János Program. Outstanding research results are being produced at the university, and their social, economic, and technological benefits are unquestionable.”

According to the university’s website, the Japanese company and ELTE are cooperating to use the protein structure analysis method of József Kardos and András Micsonai, researchers from the university’s Department of Biochemistry, in their instruments. The new method can estimate the secondary structure of proteins from the CD spectrum much more accurately than previous algorithms.
