The Hungarian team consisting of Bettina Fábián, Mira Szimcsák, Kristóf Rasovszky, and Dávid Betlehem won the gold medal in the relay competition of the third stop of the Open Water World Cup series in Setúbal (Portugal).
According to the result display of the international federation, the Hungarian “number one” triumphed in the 4x1500m relay with a commanding lead of 1:19 minutes over the second-placed Italians.
In the team competition, the quartet of Anna Olasz, Réka Rohács, Hunor Kovács-Seres, and Ákos Kalmár also took to the water and finished third, but this only meant “virtual” bronze, as only the best quartet of a country is awarded.
The World Cup series will continue in August, shortly after the World Championships, in France.
