Hungarian Part-Financed Luxury Hotel in Romania Opens Its Doors

Hungary Today 2023.07.17.

For the Hungarian investor S.C. Multinvest Srl., the selection of the appropriate operator and brand was carried out by Péter Kraft’s company, while the hotel concept was developed by the experts of KRAFT & Associates – Turisztikai Fejlesztők Kft. from Hungary, reports Spabook.net.

The development will give Târgu Mures (Marosvásárhely, in today’s Romania) a significantly more prominent role on the international tourism scene. The new Hampton by Hilton Târgu Mures is primarily aimed at business travelers.

The hotel has officially opened its rooms to the public at 18C Cukorgyár Street, near the Incub Center. This area is directly adjacent to the local railway and a center for many businesses.

Located 10 minutes from the city’s historic and commercial center, the hotel has 6 floors and a high floor, 115 guest rooms, a restaurant, fitness room and basement parking. All rooms have a modern, clean and elegant decor.

The construction started in 2020 and after a lot of work, the first hotel in the city belonging to an international brand, Hilton, has opened.

The investor in the Hampton by Hilton in Târgu Mures received HUF 1.5 billion (EUR 4M) in Hungarian government support for the construction of the hotel, as part of the Pro Economica tender announced in 2019.

“The aim of the call for proposals is to support the stay and prosperity of the people living in the target area by increasing employment and the range of attractive tourism opportunities and services,” the tender’s objective stated. All the applications submitted were successful and the grants will support the construction of a total of 9 hotels in Szeklerland.
