The Hungarian company Mono-Ipolyfabric Kft. in Ipolytölgyes is the exclusive designer and manufacturer of interior decorative elements for the latest Range Rover and Range Rover SV models, the company announced in a statement on Friday.
The statement quotes Francois Bandura, owner of Mono-Ipolyfabric Kft., as saying that the company invested six billion forints (EUR 14,1 million) last year. A state-of-the-art manufacturing plant was built at the site, and a research and development center was created to design and develop high-tech interior design and trim elements for cars.
Ninety-nine percent of the products manufactured in Ipolytölgyes are produced for export markets, the statement said. Their partners include Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, Audi and BMW. The development has increased the company’s capacity by 30 percent compared to 2021. More than 200 new jobs have also been created, with over 700 employees working at Mono-Ipolyfabric Kft.
Thanks to the capacity increase, Mono’s turnover in 2021 increased by 25 percent compared to the previous year, reaching HUF 16.9 billion (EUR 40 million). By 2022, the company expects to have a turnover of around HUF 21.1 billion (EUR 50 million).
Jaguar Land Rover is the UK’s largest automotive manufacturer, which opened its newest production plant in Nitra (Nyitra, Slovakia) in 2018, where they manufacture Land Rover Discovery vehicles. The Land Rover Defender was added to this model in September 2019.
