Hungary’s license plates are changing. Starting July 1, their total character amount will increase by one. The Hungarian government announced the change in a Facebook post on Wednesday, noting that registration numbers which are currently in use will not need to be renewed to new license plates.

New Hungarian license plates will be composed of two vowels or two consonants, followed by two other letters, with three numbers at the end. Along with the preexisting twelve stars of the EU and the white letter H in a blue background on the left side, the new plates will also feature the Hungarian coat of arms in their center.
