János Árpád Potápi, Secretary of State for National Policy of the Prime Minister’s Office, announced at a press conference in Budapest on Monday that Hungarian organizations abroad can now apply for the National Restart Program.
The state secretary has stated that thanks to effective epidemic management, the government can now support the events and programs of the Hungarian organizations in the Carpathian Basin and the diaspora.
The budget is 500 million HUF (1,423,500 EUR) and applicants can win between 300,000 HUF (854 EUR) and 1 million HUF (2,847 EUR) of funding.
The application can be submitted in electronic form until July 30 on the online interface of the National Policy Informatics System, which is available here or on the website of the Gábor Bethlen Fund Manager.
Potápi also indicated that the planned programs need to happen between the first of July and the 31st of December.
He explained that there are six subprograms in the call; the first five are for Hungarian organizations in the Carpathian Basin, and the sixth is for diaspora organizations. In the latter case, an organization can submit several applications, while the applicants in the Carpathian Basin can only have one application per organization.
The state secretary called attention to the requirement that all programs must adhere to the appropriate pandemic protocols.
