Honvedelem.hu reports that Major General László Sticz, EUFOR Commander, recently awarded the “Honors for the Partnership” to Brigadier General Lorenzo Dal Maso, EUFOR Deputy Commander, and Brigadier General Herbert Sailer, EUFOR Chief of Staff. This recognition highlights their outstanding contributions to the successful implementation of the Hungarian Command Year.

Major General Sticz expressed deep gratitude for their efforts and commitment throughout the Hungarian Command Year, acknowledging their integral part in achieving EUFOR’s objectives.

As Hungary Today earlier wrote, Hungary’s first period of leading EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded with significant achievements, emphasizing the stability and security of the region. During this time, Hungary deployed a high-tech Mi-17 helicopter, enhancing operational capabilities. The helicopter was equipped with advanced technology for search and rescue missions, showcasing Hungary’s increasing role in EUFOR’s mission.

Hungary’s leadership of EUFOR represents a notable chapter in its defense and international peacekeeping efforts, with the continued support of high-ranking officers and cutting-edge military assets.
