A Hungarian contestant, Arina Balogh, born in Ártánd in eastern Hungary, won third place at the Miss Eurasia contest in Belek, Turkey.
After competing in Miss Hungary in 2022, 19-year-old Arina Balogh tried her luck in an international competition- Miss Eurasia, created by 24-time beauty queen Dotti Polgár. In the competition, the jury had to choose the most beautiful of the 23 contestants, and in the final on 11 June, the Hungarian girl came third. Balogh had already received a scholarship to a modelling agency at the age of 13 and was so hopeful of winning that she took her mother’s wedding dress with her to Turkey to wear on the last day.
The young girl comes from Ártánd, a small village on the Hungarian-Romanian border. She is currently a first-year student at the National University of Public Service in Budapest. As she told HAON, she entered the competition to gain experience.

She explained to the website that she is grateful to have made new friends from all over the world, which gave her a closer understanding of other cultures. She said she was only expecting a special prize, and after they were awarded at the competition, she could not believe she won.
I was very happy when my name was called and I realized that I had placed third in such a prestigious international competition,”
she noted, adding that Miss University will be the next pageant she will compete in.
