As an unmissable feature of Budapest, he took photos in front of the Parliament and Buda Castle, before heading to the countryside with his family, presumably his sons.

Dean Norris traveled as far as Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county in eastern Hungary to the town of his Hungarian ancestor, his late grandfather.

In Tiszadob he also found the grave of his great grandfather.

The actor and his family were then given special treatment, with the inhabitants of the village entertaining the visiting film star with a local meal and music.

Norris is not the only Hollywood movie star with Hungarian ancestry. Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis’ paternal grandfather was also born in eastern Hungary. The actress has stressed many times how proud she is of her Hungarian roots, and she even sang a Hungarian song backstage after receiving the Academy award.
