“Hungarians are not people” and “Kill the Hungarians” written on a building

Another anti-Hungarian attack has taken place in Transcarpathia Ukraine, this time in Mukachevo (Munkács), where unknown perpetrators painted slogans inciting the killing of Hungarians on the doors and walls of a local building.

Máté Kocsis, leader of the Fidesz parliamentary group, reported the incident on his Facebook page on Wednesday morning.

Another anti-Hungarian attack in Transcarpathia. In Mukachevo, graffiti inciting the killing of Hungarians was painted on the doors and walls of a building. Enough of this incitement to hatred! We condemn all anti-Hungarian actions and stand up for the Hungarians in Transcarpathia!”

the politician wrote in his post.

These events are particularly worrying for the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia, which has recently become the target of increasing attacks and provocations. The Hungarian community has repeatedly pointed out that anti-Hungarian sentiment is growing in the region, often accompanied by vandalism, threats, and even illegal measures by the authorities.

In his post, Kocsis emphasized that the Hungarian Government and the Fidesz-KDNP faction strongly condemn all such acts and continue to stand up for the rights and safety of the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia.
