This year, the Agricultural Marketing Center (AMC) is presenting 10 Hungarian exhibitors at Foodex, the largest food and beverage exhibition in Japan and the Pacific region, which started on Tuesday.
Based on AMC’s experience, Hungarian products are attracting considerable interest in the Far Eastern country, where a business meeting and a food seminar were organized for Hungarian companies and nearly 80 foreign buyers in cooperation with the Hungarian Embassy.
AMC came to Foodex with a 100-square-meter community stand
offering frozen vegetables, fruits, honey, duck and goose meat, wine, dried organic vegetable powder, cheese, sugar- and gluten-free cereal bars, and liquors to importers,
The Tokyo event was preceded by a long wait, as it was last held in 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the Foodex website,
60 countries and regions are showcasing their products in the Japanese capital.
At the event, which runs until Friday, AMC provides space not only for Hungarian exhibitors but also for its export development arm, the Hungarian Food Business Program, whose digital platform already features more than 2,000 products from 219 Hungarian food manufacturers.
This is the 14th time that AMC has organized a community presence for Hungarian companies at Foodex. AMC considers their participation important because the exhibition is a good opportunity to get to know and conquer Asian markets.
