Hungary condemns the Sunday terror attacks in the Philippines and will provide emergency aid to the relatives of the injured and deceased Christians, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade said on his Facebook page.
Péter Szijjártó recalled that on Sunday morning there was a bomb attack at a Catholic church service in Marawi, Philippines, during which at least four worshippers were killed and many others injured.
As a thousand-year-old Christian country, we have consistently stood up for Christians around the world and we condemn in the strongest terms the attack on Catholics practising their religion, which took place on the first Sunday of Advent”,
the minister wrote.
Péter Szijjártó also said that Hungary sympathizes with the families affected and will provide five million forints (EUR 13.000) in emergency aid to the relatives of the injured and deceased through the Catholic Charity of the Philippines.
