Minister of Economic Development, Márton Nagy, visited the Fintech Center of China Construction Bank in Beijing and held a meeting with Tian Guoli, the bank’s president.
China Construction Bank is the world’s second-largest lending institution, with its Hungarian branch opened in April 2023.

He added that the center of gravity of the global economy, including trade, financial and industrial centers, is increasingly shifting to the East, to Asia, where China’s role is unquestionable: it is one of the driving forces of the world economy and a motor of development.
Today, Chinese industrial and financial enterprises are at the forefront of innovation and the application of world-class high-tech solutions, so knowledge transfer and cooperation are becoming more valuable, he emphasized.
The Minister noted that Hungary has become the number one destination for Chinese investors in Central and Eastern Europe. Hungary intends to further strengthen its role as an economic bridge.
The cooperation of the China Construction Bank is a partnership in this respect, and
can contribute to the entry of further Hungarian companies into the Chinese market and facilitate the emergence of new Chinese investments in Hungary,
especially in the field of renewable energies and electromobility.
