Freak Circus Accident in the Sphere of Death

The audience of the Hungarian National Circus’ performance in Szolnok, South-East of Budapest, witnessed a terrifying accident. One of the performers in the show flew out of the death sphere and was seriously injured. The circus company issued a statement on the social media pages saying that the performer had suffered a serious injury but would recover.

A terrifying accident occurred during a performance of the Hungarian National Circus in Szolnok. The circus’s motorbike artists were going around at high speed in circles inside the death sphere, a huge metallic lattice sphere. The death sphere opens up in the middle as the highlight of the show, that is when one of the female performers flew out of it at high speed, suffering serious injuries.

The circus company issued a statement on its Facebook page about the incident. As they wrote, their performer Alice suffered a pelvic injury but will recover.

“Her condition is stable and we have been assured of her recovery by hospital staff. Unfortunately, despite all safety precautions being taken during the performance, accidents can happen, which is part of the job of a performing artist,” they wrote, adding that “We hope Alice will recover quickly and return to the stage soon, but in the meantime we would like to thank you for your interest and the good wishes we send her!”
