Several well-known speakers will be guests at this year’s MCC Fest in Esztergom, including former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, and Michael Knowles, a leading political commentator from the United States, the communications directorate of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) told MTI.
Sebastian Kurz, who served as Chancellor of Austria from December 2017 to May 2019, and from January 2020 to October 2021, was the youngest head of government in the world at the time of his election, at 31. Both Kurz and Michael Knowles, American actor, writer, and broadcaster, who has repeatedly advocated conservative values in recent years and hosted his own daily radio show, will speak on public affairs at the event.
Vincent Harinam, data science revolutionary and statistical advisor at the University of Cambridge, and Professor Constantine Karalekas, Dean of the Center for Australasian Studies at the University of Central Lancashire will also deliver a speech at the festival. Harinam’s research focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in the fight against crime and the effective analysis of various law enforcement statistics and trends, while Professor Karalekas is the author and co-author of many books.
Like last year, the event’s program guide shows that this year’s MCC Fest will again feature Hungarian public figures, and that a number of disciplines will be represented in thematic discussions, such as the state of the fintech sector.
In the panel discussion “The Power of Digitalization in the Financial Sector,” participants will discuss digital banking, innovation through artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrencies.
József Finta, co-designer of the Mol Campus, Zsolt Gunther, designer of Vision Towers, and Bence Vadász, designer of the Szabad György Office Building, will talk about the revolution in office design.
Hungarian speakers also include Hunor Örs Detre, the lead developer of the James Webb Space Telescope, Ádám Pölcz, one of the most popular linguists of our time; Péter ‘Pedro’ Szekrényi, an expert on digital transformation, and Ágnes Katona, who was the editor of the Agatha Christie book series for 25 years.
This year, for the first time in the history of the MCC Festival, there will also be a folk tent, where István Pál Szalonna and his band, among others, will provide a lively atmosphere.
According to the information, this year’s Edu-Promenade, which will present the MCC’s educational courses and programs as well as the partner organizations of the talent management institution, will be even more crowded than in the past.
As in past years, this year’s MCC Fest, July 27-29, is free. For more information, visit the event’s official website at https://mccfeszt.hu/.
