On the Hungarian side, the document was signed by Colonel Albert Gróf, Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Hungarian Ministry of Defense, and on the Polish side by Colonel Slawomir Mnitowski, Military, Air, and Defense Attaché of the Republic of Poland.

The plan includes joint military exercises, conferences, cooperation in education, training, military history, and war graves, as well as traditional events and programs for the year 2024.

Poland is a key partner for Hungary, and Hungarian-Polish military cooperation through professional programs is continuous and wide-ranging.

Fact

Hungary’s military cooperation with Poland has its roots in the V4 Group’s Defense Cooperation. Since the adoption of the first Long Term Vision, V4 countries have substantially expanded their defense cooperation and implemented joint projects and activities in many areas. These include, among many other issues, strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense, industry, innovation, procurement and armaments, and the V4 EU Battlegroup.
