The Budapest Metropolitan Government Office has imposed a HUF 50 million (EUR 125 thousand) consumer protection fine on the food delivery company Foodora, the Capital Government Commissioner announced in a video posted on his Facebook page on Friday.
Botond Sára said that an extraordinary inspection had been ordered earlier because the Budapest Metropolitan Government Office had received numerous complaints.
Customers complained about the late arrival of food, the quality, the compensation, and the prices.
The politician revealed that through the inspection they discovered other shortcomings and the food delivery company was fined HUF 50 million (EUR 125,000). “We will continue to monitor complaints. Customers can of course rely on the government office and we are confident that the quality of service will improve,” he said.
