The REPowerEU package aims to cut European dependence on fossil fuel imports from Russia by mobilizing 300 billion euros.
The vote was a great success for Hungary, which will be able to use EU funds to invest in oil infrastructure, bringing us closer to energy independence,
the Fidesz delegation announced in a statement.
They accused the Hungarian and European left-wing parties of trying to block the investments.
Hungary’s share of REPowerEU funding has doubled to more than 700 million euros, the Fidesz delegation said.
