Fidesz MEP Condemns Brussel’s Interference in Polish Elections

MTI-Hungary Today 2023.10.04.

Balázs Hidvéghi (Fidesz-KDNP MEP) spoke out in the European Parliament against Brussels’ attempts to interfere in the Polish elections. In his view, it is obvious that the current conservative Polish government is a thorn in the side of the pro-migration leftists in Brussels.

“They want to remove the Poles so much that they are organizing a debate just to attack them with pathetic lies 12 days before the Polish elections.

They are obviously trying to interfere in the elections from the outside,”

said Balázs Hidvéghi.

He added that they are using a petty visa issue that the authorities have already settled. The MEP questioned whether this is a “marginal and inexplicable problem” that has been settled by authorities. In addition, he questioned the MEPs if they really believe they can manipulate elections in Poland “with a left-wing, neo-Marxist parliament? There have been several similar attempts to do so in Hungary, but it has never worked, it has merely backfired.”

Lastly, Hidvéghi attacked the leftist MEPs with the following: “Enough of the Brussels’ left wanting governments! The sovereignty of the nation states shall be preserved, and Brussels’ empire-building intentions must be prevented!”
