Ruling Parties Vote for Katalin Novák’s Candidacy for President

Deputies of the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrat parties held a formal vote to support the nomination of Katalin Novák, formerly the minister in charge of family affairs, as the next president of the republic, Fidesz’s parliamentary group leader said on Thursday.

Speaking after an away meeting of the ruling parties at Balatonfüred, in western Hungary, Máté Kocsis said the nomination had been supported unanimously.
