Hungarian singer Rozina Pátkai and pianist Dávid Benkő’s song Partokon (On the Shores) will be featured in an action sequence of an episode of the FBI series on CBS, one of the most-watched US television channels.
I didn’t think that my own Hungarian-language song would be performed live for the first time in an action sequence of an American series, and in my performance,”
said Pátkai, who was chosen by the director of the FBI series from among several Hungarian performers.
The song was written many months ago, it was clear that I wanted to play it on the set with a great co-producer. I’ve known keyboardist and pianist Dávid Benkő for a long time, so there was no question that I wanted to work with him in this role,”
Pátkai added.
According to Benkő, Partokon contains both abstract images and completely ordinary moments, which fit perfectly with Pátkai’s clear yet expressive performance style.
