In the European Parliament’s “Roadmap to a Social Europe: two years after Porto” plenary debate on Wednesday, Fidesz MEP Ádám Kósa stressed that “strengthening families is the right answer to social policy challenges, not supporting economic migrants”.
“As underlined in the declaration, this must respect the principle of subsidiarity, the specificities of each nation-state’s social protection systems, and the competencies of the member states,” he stressed.

The MEP stressed that “Hungary has developed a unique support system for families because we are convinced that a strategy to increase the birth rate is the basis for social sustainability and social progress. It is our decision, respect it.”
