Facebook Blocks Budapest District Fidesz Page

Hungary Today 2023.08.02.

Fidesz MP Andrea Gyurákovics announced on her social media page that Facebook has removed the Ferencváros (9th District in Budapest) Fidesz page, reports Magyar Nemzet.

The politician did not let the incident pass without comment, writing the following in her post:

Facebook’s censorship department has already started the 2024 election campaign, the first victim of which is the Ferencváros Fidesz Facebook page…

I wonder whose interest it was?” – asked the MP.

“Even if they try, we will not give up!” the MP concluded her post.

Hungary Today has been facing a similar issue as our Facebook page is under a shadow ban, and our content is heavily restricted. With these bans, the tech giant is not only limiting the freedom of speech of the press, but also that of its readers.
