Loránt Vincze will lead the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) for another three years, according to a statement from the Transylvanian Hungarian MEP’s office.
FUEN, the European umbrella organization for minorities, which has more than a hundred minority organizations among its members, held its annual congress in Berlin last week.
Saturday’s general assembly re-elected the current president, Loránt Vincze, who stood alone as the candidate of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ).

Loránt Vincze pledged to create long-term financial and institutional stability for FUEN, in order to effectively represent the interests of indigenous national and linguistic minorities.
The Transylvanian Hungarian politician was vice president of FUEN from 2013-2016 and its president since 2016, the statement notes.
