Election 2022 – Deputy PM: Ruling Parties Committed to Building Peace

“War and peace, and Hungary’s economic achievements are at stake” at Sunday’s election, Zsolt Semjén, deputy prime minister and head of the co-ruling Christian Democrats (KDNP), said after casting his ballot in Budapest’s 2nd district.

Preserving peace is paramount for the government and for the ruling parties, and that “Hungary should not be allowed to drift into this war”, Semjén said. “Hungarian weapons must not be sent from Hungary and Hungarian soldiers must not fight in this war,” he said.
