Minister of Economic Development, Márton Nagy, will visit government and business organizations of key importance to the Hungarian economy. During his trip to China, the minister will meet officials from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Development Bank of China, the Bank of China, the Export-Import Bank of China, and Huawei, among others.
Márton Nagy underlined that “China is one of the world’s most important economies, it has undergone extraordinary development in recent decades, has become a world technology power, and the yuan and Chinese investment are playing an increasingly important role in the global economy. An increasing number of significant Chinese investment is coming to our country, with China now accounting for 3 percent of the FDI stock.”
He added that
new investment is needed to maintain Hungary’s dynamic economic growth in the future. This is the way to protect families and jobs, and to continue the steady and large-scale increase in wages.
China is our ninth most important trading partner, with a trade volume of over USD 13 billion between the two countries.
