Economic Development Minister, Márton Nagy, received Christopher Hess, Vice President of Public Affairs at Eaton Corporation, and Eamonn Hughes, Vice President of Corporate Finance at Johnson Controls, in his office, Világgazdaság reports.
The parties discussed the challenges and current trends in business and industry, the global minimum tax, as well as potential future investment opportunities for companies.
Eaton has been a member of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) since 2018, and has a strong focus on automotive research related to energy developments for both electric and conventional combustion vehicles.
In Hungary, Eaton employs more than 1,000 people at its BSC Business and Service Center in Budapest and its manufacturing center in Győr.
Johnson Controls has been present in Hungary since 1995, mainly in the field of technical automation systems and the manufacture and supply of industrial refrigeration equipment. The international parent company is a leading supplier of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and building management automation systems in 150 countries.
The parties have identified Hungary as an attractive investment location and will explore further opportunities for cooperation; discussions will continue.
