From December 8, the price of petrol and diesel will fall even further. The price of 95 octane petrol is expected to be HUF 4 lower gross, while the price of diesel is expected to be HUF 5 lower gross reports holtankoljak.hu.
The average prices for the second half of the week are as follows:
95 octane petrol: 573 Ft/liter (EUR 1.50)
Diesel: 593 Ft/liter (EUR 1.55)
The last time fuel prices rose was on September 15, when petrol was HUF 7 and diesel was HUF 11 more expensive. Zsolt Hernádi, CEO of MOL, declared earlier that fuel prices will definitely rise from January 1 due to the expected increase in excise tax by HUF 41. According to Mr. Hernádi, if domestic fuel prices were very low, fuel tourism would be on the rise again.
