“There is a huge scandal in the United States. The US President has decided to disclose to whom and how much money various US government agencies have given in recent years,” the Prime Minister wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.
Viktor Orbán wrote that “the liberal global elite” has used the US budget and the US government to have their financial and ideological goals financed by the Americans. This has been presented as aid, but is in fact a tool of political influence, the head of government claimed. He added that they received money from foundations run by George Soros on the one hand, and from the official US government budget on the other. They used this money to finance their destructive, pro-migration, anti-family, and gender-political activities all over the world, he wrote.
He emphasized that they only supported issues related to left-wing parties, i.e. media platforms, online communication, and NGOs. According to him, this both strengthened the left and provided money with the aim of toppling the government.

Orbán’s ally and counterpart, Robert Fico, has sent a letter to Elon Musk asking the Trump administration’s government efficiency official to help clarify which organizations and media outlets in Slovakia have been funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) by providing accessible information, the Slovak government office announced on Monday.

Kocsis also cited Musk as saying that “they are just far-left lunatics talking to themselves while burning a billion dollars a year of American taxpayers’ money.”
“On the far left’s menu was migration, war, gender madness and everything the American people said no to in the election. The left there wasted a billion dollars a year on ideological brainwashing and propaganda,” the parliamentary group leader wrote.
